Tantric energy work uses attention, breath, sound and visualisation to cultivate and direct subtle energy, which tantric traditions describe through chakras, channels (nadis) and kundalini. Sessions typically combine meditation, mantra, gentle movement and simple ritual. It is the most contemplative end of the tantra spectrum and is usually suitable for complete beginners. ## What to expect A typical session moves between seated meditation, chanting or mantra repetition, breathing exercises and quiet integration time. Most of the practice is done individually, even in a group, and rarely involves touch. Before booking, check whether the teacher works within a named lineage or a modern synthesis, how long they have practised, and whether the event is a one-off introduction or part of a longer training.
